Capibara Website Privacy Policy

The short version

This website is designed to work without collecting information about you. It has:

• no advertising, advertising trackers or marketing pixels;
• no analytics services, including Google Analytics;
• no cookies;
• no contact forms, sign-ups or accounts;
• no third-party scripts — the site's code and fonts are served from our own server.

Information you send us by email

If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and anything you choose to attach. We use this only to read and respond to your message, to provide support, and to keep a record of our correspondence. Please do not send passwords or sensitive personal information by email.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server automatically records basic technical information for each request: the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, the browser and device type reported by your browser, and whether the request succeeded. We use these logs only to operate the website, diagnose problems and protect it against abuse. Under our current configuration, server logs are deleted after about two weeks.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies and does not use similar technologies to recognize you across visits. For that reason, it does not show a cookie banner. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

How we use information

We use the limited information described above to run this website, respond to you and keep our services secure. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of service providers: a hosting provider that runs the server for this website, and Microsoft, which provides our business email. They process information only as needed to provide those services to us.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law, regulation or valid legal process, or that it is necessary to protect the rights, safety or security of Capibara, our users or others.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as it is useful for the purpose it was collected for. Server logs are deleted after about two weeks. Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and to maintain reasonable business records, and are then deleted.

Security

The website is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to our systems is limited to the people who operate them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information we handle.

International visitors

Capibara is based in the United States. If you visit from another country, information such as server logs and emails may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask whether we hold personal information about you, to receive a copy of it, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. You can make any of these requests by writing to privacy@mycapibara.com. We will respond as required by the laws that apply to you, and we will not treat you differently for making a request.

Children's privacy

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be explained here.
